How have your passion and interests evolved to shape your purpose? How do they connect to your interests and dreams from your early days?
a line from Forbes article, The Great Power Of Connecting Passion With Purpose. Good read. It makes me think about the connection between what you're passionate about and how that materializes throughout various spaces in your life.
We, Gwen Beloti Collection, recently hosted our 4th Annual 100 Dresses for Little Dresses for Africa project this year. To date we have made and donated over 400 dresses for little girls in Africa; in support of non-profit Little Dresses for Africa-LDFA. The experience and work these past years has been amazing.
Years back, when I was thinking about ways the brand could offer more value and build a deeper connection with the community, I discovered LDFA. The relationship with the organization and their efforts was seamless, because they were doing what I loved to do and had an appreciation for. They were using fashion as a vehicle for providing hope; one little dress at time. Apparel, both a basic necessity and a desired commodity, at either spectrum can render a sense of freedom.
LDFA has clothed millions of children. Their efforts and outreach further extend to education, nutrition, housing, and more.
I'm super excited about year 5 of the 100 Dresses for LDFA project, coming in 2019. We will hit 500+ dresses donated.
