#HER the woman depicted in the header image is someone I'm inspired by.  Most often you'll find Tracee Ellis Ross in this space, just giving you forewaring.  I LOVE HER.  I am in awe of her effortless sense of style that radiates an permeates throughout her being.. it’s such a gift and a joy to admire.

I've been obsessed since Girlfriends.  I enjoyed her personality and gawked over her wardrobe.  Gawked.. stalked.. whichever you prefer.  There was this gold watch that her character Joan wore often that had a square face. I could never quite figure out the brand of the watch, I think it might have been Cartier.   So not that I would have been able to afford it anyhow, I did know that I wanted something like it.  On a trip to the fashion outlets in the early 2000's I purchased a square face Coach watch that I have to this day, still in pretty good shape.  You couldn't tell me a thing.

I say all that to say she does it like no other, such a natural and I’m so here for it.

“I need to see my own beauty and to continue to be reminded that I am enough, that I am worthy of love without effort, that I am beautiful, that the texture of my hair and that the shape of my curves, the size of my lips, the color of my skin, and the feelings that I have are all worthy and okay.” - Tracee Ellis Ross

“The authentic self is soul made visible.” - Sarah Ban Breathnach

My attempt to find something like hers - the third watch from left :)
